ABOUT LIZ GREENFIELD (1987)
I live in Manchester (UK) as of recently, but I was born and raised in Amsterdam, Holland. As a child I often accompanied my musician parents on tour, and taught myself to read using comicbooks after emphatically rejecting the idea of elementary school. At that point I developed the habit drawing on everything that doesn't put up a fight.
My first webcomic, Weirdism (no longer online), was done in collaboration with several writers. Stuff Sucks is a solo project launched in December 2004.
I'm a full-time 2D animation student at a small academy. After school I organize music events, and work as a part-time band-stylist to pay the bills. My fossilized skills include playing the violin, ballet dancing, and at one point, singing vocals in a punk band. Fortunately the desire to make comics has outlived both the mohawk and tutus.
READERS' GUIDE
Stuff Sucks is a character-based comic, presumably set around Amsterdam, the Netherlands. It revolves around the lives of a few eccentric scenester jerks.
Daniel is a man of simple tastes. He often relies on the wise advice of his pet fish, Binky, who doesn't have a word to say. Daniel is perfectly content with his mundane existence, his job at a rundown record shop, and his slightly dull sweetheart.
Suddenly he's a trouble magnet, the unwitting target of luscious, light-fingered Zemi, the most devious teenage con artiste in town, and stuff begins to suck.
